Who doesn’t know Link, the protagonist of the popular video game made in Nintendo “The Legend of Zelda”? The most nerd of you have certainly recognize the Triforce symbol that stands out this phone case: these 3 yellow triangles make you immediately think about that young green dressed boy, which make you stay in front of TV for whole evening trying to rescue the Princess Zelda!
To make this amazing phone case inspired by “The legend of Zelda” you’ll need:
– green felt;
– yellow felt;
– brown twine;
– embroidery needle;
– thread, scissors, chalk;
Let’s start taking the measures of your smartphone (base + height), and add 1,5 cm. My phone is 6,5 x 12,5 cm, for the base I have done:
– base 6,5 + 1,5 = 8 cm
The height must be doubled and added to the height of flap needful to close the phone case:
14 (12,5 + 1,5) + 14 (12,5 + 1,5) + 6 (flap) = 34 cm
So in my case I drawn and cut a rectangles on the green felt 8 x 34 cm.
Now let’s draw the Triforce pattern: on a squared paper sheet drawn a triangle 16 x 14, divide it into 4 parts. Cut only the central triangle and keep the other 3 together. Copy the shape on felt.
Now you can baste the triforce symbol on the anterior side of the phone case in order to overlapping the triangle on the top with the flap. Sew with machine using yellow thread.
Close the sides of your phone case with the sewing machine using the green thread. The stitching must be about 0,5 cm.
Now you can fold your flap and cut away a triangle where it overlaps the Triforce.
Complete all edges using brown twine and blanket stitch!
